What you get when you pay

When you pay for Remove ads, a pack or gems, you get a license to use it in this game, not ownership. The license is personal to the Google account you bought it with, works on any device where you sign in with that account, and cannot be sold or transferred.

Your license lasts as long as your account exists and the game is running. It ends if you delete your account, after a refund or a successful chargeback (for the item refunded), or if your account is closed for cheating, fraud, abuse of the game, or because it was sold, bought or traded (see Your account is yours alone). If we ever plan to shut the game down, we will give notice in the game and on this page before it closes.

Remove ads

A one-time purchase of $4.99 total, sales tax included turns off the pop-up ads and Sponsored cards that appear at natural breaks (after sleeping, a waystone trip or a quest-ending card) for as long as your license lasts, while you are signed in with the Google account you bought it with, on any device. Any optional deals list you choose to open yourself in the game stays available. Remove ads does not hide the Chamber of Commerce’s paid sponsor frames: they appear only inside that optional hall, on its marquee, and in the town crier’s news when you ask him, and they are always labelled as paid sponsors.

Got an authentication code from us? Enter it in the journal to remove ads, or to unlock the pack it was made for, for free.

Refunds: email hello@ginamakesbread.dev within 30 days of buying for a full refund. Ads come back on after a refund or a successful chargeback.

Looks-only packs

Tailor Fen may sell packs of extra looks, such as capes, party hats for pets, premium hairstyles, hats for your hero, pet coat colours, wedding outfits, house paint and furnishings for your home. Packs change how things look, never how strong you are. A pack is bought once and works on every device where you sign in with the same Google account.

Refunds: email hello@ginamakesbread.dev within 30 days of buying for a full refund. The pack is removed after a refund or a successful chargeback.

Tip jar

Smith Harga's counter has a tip jar for grown-ups (18 and older): a pay-what-you-want payment through Stripe, from $1. A tip is a thank-you and unlocks nothing in the game. Questions about a tip? Email hello@ginamakesbread.dev.

Herald notices

A notice in The Hearthvale Herald (a birthday, anniversary, new baby, congratulations, thank-you, pet birthday or a notice in memory) costs $3 (18 and older). It shows in the game for one day and unlocks nothing else. If we can't accept a notice, you get a full refund. You can also cancel for a full refund by emailing hello@ginamakesbread.dev at least 2 days before the notice's day. The full rules are in the Terms of Play.

Gems

You can also buy 500 gems for $4.99 total, sales tax included, and spend 100 gems on any pack at Tailor Fen. Gems are kept with your Google account and work on every device where you sign in. Gems are only for looks-only packs in this game: they have no cash value, cannot be sold, traded or exchanged for money, and do not expire while your account exists. Like everything you pay for, gems are a license.

Gems you earn: signed-in players also earn 10 free gems for playing 7 days in a row (counted once a day by our server). Earned gems work exactly like bought gems.

Refunds: email hello@ginamakesbread.dev within 30 days of buying for a refund of the gems you have not spent (a full refund if you have spent none). After a refund or a successful chargeback, the number of gems refunded is taken off your balance. If your balance is lower than that, packs you bought with gems are removed, newest first, until the difference is covered. Refunds and chargebacks never close your account or remove anything else.
