About the game

A cozy fairy-tale RPG where you’re not just the hero: you’re the whole family line, from first sword swing to the crown. Start as a young hero in a small village: fight wolves and dragons, bake bread, fish, fall in love and raise a family. Every choice pushes you toward good or evil, and the valley remembers. When your hero grows old, your child takes over, trained in your sword or your baking, carrying your heirlooms and your house’s name. Over the generations you build a royal house, crown new rulers, outwit a rival family and grow a town that lives and works around you. A whole family saga, one cozy day at a time.

The Hero of Hearthvale is an original story, world, cast and set of characters. Every choice leaves a mark: the village remembers whether you are kind or cruel. The game includes fantasy combat and good-and-evil choices, and is meant for teens and adults (13 and up).

Hear ye, hear ye! By order of the crown, strong opinions about bread are welcome. Back pain and an early bedtime are optional.

Content note

The Hero of Hearthvale has not been formally rated (by the ESRB, PEGI or any other ratings board). It is made for players aged 13 and up. It includes:

• Fantasy violence: sword fights and lightning magic against wolves, bandits, monsters and a dragon, with no blood or gore.
• Dark choices: you can choose to be cruel, make a dark pact, or eat a dragon's heart. The village remembers.
• Romance and marriage: courting, marrying, divorce and having children. Nothing sexual is shown.
• Optional purchases: Remove ads, looks-only packs and gems, plus a tip jar. Nothing you can buy makes your hero stronger.
• Ads and sponsors: occasional Sponsored cards, and paid sponsor frames in the Chamber of Commerce, always labelled.

The game has no gambling or loot boxes, no alcohol or drugs (the Cider House serves sweet, non-alcoholic cider), and no chat with other players.
